GDEX held a Lunch Day with Employees at GDEX Headquarters today in conjunction with the 2024 Safety, Health, and Environment Campaign.

Among the features of the lunch session were:

• No usage of disposable food packaging or polystyrene
• Only reusable food containers or Tupperware are used
• No usage of disposable cups, with drinks to be served in reusable cups

This event was not only lively with the atmosphere of eating together, but also provided an opportunity to strengthen relationships among colleagues, while practising environmental friendly and sustainable practices.

GDEX Rivers of Renewal is an environmental initiative to rejuvenate and maintain the surroundings of the river at Kanching Eco Forest Park (Taman Eko Rimba Kanching) in Rawang, Selangor.

This program encompasses waste collection, as well as painting of rest huts and a bridge. By combining these efforts, GDEX aims to create a cleaner, safer, and more enjoyable environment for the wildlife and local communities.
By the end of the event, we managed to collect 175 kg of waste from Levels 2 and 3 of the river; comprising plastic, aluminium, paper, glass, and organic waste.

We hope this event inspires continued efforts in environmental conservation and community involvement, ensuring that the natural beauty of Kanching Eco Forest Park is preserved for future generations.
